A miniload shuttle is an automatic warehouse system used primarily where performance requirements are high, employing maximum storage density for optimum space utilisation. The miniload shuttle offers customers countless configurations in the storage and order picking of containers, boxes and trays, as well as long-term operational reliability and maximum system availability.

What are the advantages of a miniload shuttle?

The miniload shuttle is designed to meet high performance requirements where space is at a premium. It enables continuous material flow 365 days a year and prevents the errors that can occur within manual warehouse management. The miniload shuttle also offers flexible scalability, as it is possible to reduce or add to the number of shuttle vehicles.

For which warehouse types is the miniload shuttle suitable?

The miniload shuttle is used most of all in automated small-parts warehouses with high performance requirements, as well as in order-picking or supply warehouses involving high throughput volumes within small surface areas. As well as warehouses with normal temperature ranges, the shuttle systems can be used in cold stores with temperatures as low as -30 degrees.

Will a miniload shuttle integrate seamlessly into my IT infrastructure?

The interaction between the warehouse management system and the Jungheinrich WCS enables seamless integration into existing IT infrastructures. The software systems coordinate the transport orders and transfer the movement instructions to the shuttle system.

How sustainable is a miniload shuttle?

With functions such as smart kinematics, an energy-saving mode and SuperCaps, the miniload shuttle is extremely efficient. The SuperCaps convert braking energy into power. Any excess energy not needed by the system is fed back into the grid. The amount of energy recovered can be as much as 50 %. Peak shaving reduces the maximum load requirement and transformer size by 35 % to save both energy and money.
